Critical IT Issues Update 2 Posted or Updated on 21 Jul 2024

Our clinical system provider has been working to resume a working level of service over the weekend and we are optimistic we may be able to resume normal service as early as Wednesday.

We will provide further update and insights tomorrow when our clinical and administrative teams have had an opportunity to work with the the level of functionality provided by our IT systems.

We'd ask you kindly to refrain from contacting us unless you're acutely unwell or have an urgent medical issue for Monday. We have updated the below to provide some clarity:

What to expect for Monday:

  • Our forms will remain closed until midday on Monday at the earliest.
  • All prescription requests will be delayed
  • We may have limited information on our pre booked appointments when attending the surgery
  • We will likely be able to provide routinely booked telephone consultations, though notification will be provided if cancelled.
  • We will only be able to deal with those who are acutely unwell
  • We will likely be able to book blood tests, nursing appointments and routine GP appointments, but kindly ask you wait until we've confirmed normal service is resumed before trying.

How do I decide what is routine?

Helping the NHS with capacity issues relies on patients knowing when symptoms are concerning and where is best placed to help them. The NHS Conditions page allows you to help make that decision, so if you find yourself unsure please find your symptoms or illness here:
